A modular banquette that dresses well and washes even better. Designed with a slight tilt for a relaxed seating posture, the Fable pairs a pillow back with foam seat cushions that keep guests lingering long after dessert. Its snug-fitting beige slipcover stays tailored with inverted pleats and comes off for a wash—just hang to dry. Fully modular, it connects to other Fable pieces with alligator clips to suit different dining table sizes. Seating that adapts to the table, not the other way around.

  • Tailored to a T: A snug-fitting slipcover with inverted pleats keeps the silhouette crisp, bringing subtle tailoring details that make everyday dining feel considered.
  • Wash and Wear: The 100% polyester slipcover comes off for easy washing and hangs to dry, so the fabric stays fresh no matter how often you host.
  • Sit Back, Stay Awhile: Foam seat cushions and a pillow back sit atop a sturdy plywood frame, with a slight tilt that keeps everyone relaxed after plates are cleared.
  • Modular by Design: Alligator clips connect this banquette to other Fable pieces, seating up to six while adapting to different dining table sizes.

Fabric Care

Stash Home Care Guide

Upholstery fabric stays beautiful with steady, gentle habits. Most of our performance weaves are designed to be cleaned with simple water-based methods, and a fast response to spills is the single best thing you can do for any fabric.

Routine Care

  • Vacuum upholstery every week or two with a proper upholstery attachment. Dust settles into fabric even when you cannot see it.
  • A lint roller lifts surface debris, pet hair and dry soil between vacuuming sessions.
  • If small pills appear on textured weaves, remove them gently with a fabric shaver, then finish with a lint roller. Pilling is a normal trait of the fiber, not a defect.

Spills and Spot Cleaning

  • Blot liquids right away with a clean white cloth and lift thicker spills off with a spoon before treating the spot. Never rub, which drives stains into the weave.
  • Mix a small amount of mild detergent into a cup of lukewarm water, lightly dampen a white cloth and work from the outer edge of the stain toward the center.
  • Rinse by blotting with a second cloth dampened in plain water until no soap remains. Leftover residue attracts dirt, so this step matters. Let the fabric air dry completely.

What to Avoid

  • Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals unless your specific fabric's tag says otherwise.
  • Never oversaturate cushions. Excess moisture can distort texture and leave water rings.
  • Keep upholstery out of prolonged direct sunlight and avoid abrasive brushes that can snag yarns.

Long-Term Maintenance

  • For an overall refresh or set-in stains, we recommend professional hot-water extraction cleaning, especially on light colors. Delicate blends such as wool, velvet and dry-clean-only weaves should always go to a professional. Check the care tag on your piece for its specific cleaning code.
